D-Man remember that you have to wait 5 posts before you can post again in this topic. Although, I do agree that Opeth's new album is pretty awesome.

Arctic Monkeys are hard on the ear? They're really commercial over here getting alot of coverage in mainstream music mags and shows.

Pendulum - In Silico

Digging the new album eventhough it's not the best drum and bass I've ever heard. Show Down is pretty killer though.

Just meant that I can sit back and listen to The Wombats all day, whereas the Arctic Monkeys releases are better for maybe a spin per week. The guitar tone and vocals on the former's album are a little more inviting to my ears. Wasn't really slating them or anything, as they are a decent band.

People over here are on board the trend, same with other acts like Bloc Party and, to a lesser extent, Hard-Fi, Maximo Park, etc.

I also enjoy Hex Omega, and Watershed itself.

Bare with me here...

Disturbed ~ Invincible

I dont know why I do it...every album I give them another chance and while this one is actually listenable compared to 10k fists....its still kind of 'meh.' Its got a few catchy tunes, dont get me wrong, but it STILL is nothing like their first album which wasnt bad during that whole "Nu-Metal" thing

Bleed the Sky ~ Murder the Dance

Loved their first album but this one is a tad lacking. I am a fan of vocals consisting of mixtures of gutteral screeches and actual singing. They pulled it off in paradigm but dont do it as often here. Not that its a bad thing I suppose, but it can tend to having some of the songs sort of blend together and are ultimately kind of dull. Still a good release mind you, glad I finally found it

I'm really lacking in music these days...need to find something new to listen to...

All Disturbed albums are the same. Why haven't you grasped this yet

Sebastian, give Zonaria's 'Infamy and the Breed' album a listen. I'm digging it at the minute although the vocals are a bit repetitive.

Mago de Oz - Molinos de viento

Those into folk metal will surely appreciate this band, lyrics in Spanish though

Opeth - Porcelain Heart

I think Watershed finally is the Opeth album that can make me a huge fan of them. I've listened to the older ones too, but there always was something missing (for my taste) Apparently, that missing piece is now here and i really enjoy them alot. Maybe seing them live helped too.
