QFT.

Although I prefer Dredg in terms of alt-rock (eventhough they're dubbed in stupid genres like Art-rock etc).

Foxytunes plug in does all the work for me so I don't even have to type anything. Take it away, Foxy.

---------------- Now playing: Sigur Rós - Untitled #3 (a.k.a. Samskeyti) via FoxyTunes

I'm yet to find a band that makes music sound as beautiful as Sigur Ros does.

That's so nifty.

Hy-yah!: Now playing: Hans Zimmer - And I Thought My Jokes Were Bad
via FoxyTunes

That FoxyTunes biz looks aight, but thanks a lot for bringing up Sigur Ros. Just reminded me how I missed out on getting a ticket to go see them when they tour. Oh well, I still have Goldfrapp, The Wombats, Pig Destroyer, etc. to look forward to.

It's why I'm here.

Blame Prince of Persia though. The new trailer uses Sigur Ros so it reminded me to listen to my Sigur Ros folder.

To be fair, I've had a pretty good run with gigs/concerts this year. Sigur Ros is the first one that I've missed out on, with all the others I was a clever chap and got my tickets early. So far, Dillinger Escape Plan were the best live act I've seen for the year, followed by LCD Soundsystem and The Fall of Troy (fucking hell they rule).

NP: Converge - You Fail Me

These guys are right near the top of my "MUST SEE" list. Right now would have to say that Jane Doe is my fave album of theirs, having leaned towards Petitioning The Empty Sky for the better part of three years.

Just played: Smashing Pumpkins - The Beginning Is The End Is Beginning ie the song from the Watchmen trailer.

Now playing: Scars On Broadway - They Say

The side project of John and Daron of SOAD. Much more basic rock sound but it's pretty catchy. Takes a few listens though.

It's very obvious how much of an influence those 2 have on SOAD's sound.

Yep, i like that album too, however its not something i will listen to in a year still. Too simple, but its pretty good imo.

JUD - Drained (from the new album SufferBoy)

Man, its so cool that they bring out another record after 7 years break. I've only heard this song, but ciritcs say its a very good album.

I was listening to them waaaay back like 7 years ago or so and loved them. I have almost forgotten about them before 2 weeks ago when i read a new album is due and i was like WTF, yeah! Cool, wanted to get it via torrent, but now i pre-ordered it since i cant find it anymore.

Along with that i bought another 10 cd's of bands i've been listening to the last year, but never gave them tribute by buying the album. Now i do.
