- I have flu so my days generally consist of coughing (until my throat goes dry) and sneezing (until I get a headache and my muscles ache) before going to bed for most of the day.

Being ill sucks

You know, in some strange, deranged way, I seem to enjoy the feelings of being sick. I feel like I get the best sleep when I'm sick...I don't know...Maybe that's just me...Meh.

Okay, so I ordered the Berserk DVD set through the Amazon Marketplace for a relatively cheap price. I also picked a particular seller because a large number of his previous recipients said he was a fast shipper and that they got their item a few days after they placed the order. There were very few comments that made it sound like it took over a week to get the item. Well, guess who got to be one of the 20 day recipients...Me. First off, I was not pleased that I had to wait so entirely long. I seriously almost did forget about the order until it came in the mail today. Anyway, time issue aside, I decide to watch one of the disks tonight and it plays decent up until about the third episode. After that, there is just constant, CONSTANT DVD errors. The screen does that blocky business, and it does this for probably half an episode and partway through another before it finally straightens out. Now, this really wouldn't bother me, but it has to be in the two episodes there were practically the whole reason I bought the DVD set. What makes this tale even stranger is that the Beserk TV series is broken apart across 6 DVD's (all of which are available for individual purchase. I purchased the first DVD in the series to see if I would like it and then decided I would get the full set as it would be much cheaper than buying them individually. The OTHER DVD that I already had does the same exact thing...It gets blocky at a certain point and eventually straightens out).

It makes me wonder if there is an issue with the DVD company or what the deal is...Maybe the DVD's are just too old...Or of bad quality...I don't really know, but I have tried on two players and my computer and the same thing happens on all three. If anyone has any clue as to how to fix a problem (or if it even is fixable), I am listening...

Gah, it just makes me mad.

To AA:

Something tells me you've some defective DVDs there, AA. I had the same set awhile ago, but they've never done anything like that. If your set was already opened or appeared to have the seal re-wrapped, perhaps the seller was using your set to make copies. Those DVDs have copyright protection software built into the disk. When it's tampered with, they usually scramble the DVD's program.

I hate to say it but I don't think they're going to work for you. I can't remember, but I think the same DVD company sold Berserk in a thin pack set. It's supposed to be cheaper and a bit better quality.

I have more of an annoyance problem.

There's a guy in one of my classes that won't leave me alone. I talked to him for five minutes and I guess in his mind we're best pals. He's nice and all, but he's really a major annoyance. He decided to change his seat next to mine and constantly bugs me when I try to study or do work. He has really bad BO and bad mannerisms like talking way too loud and ignoring what you have to say.

He asks me out every week I go to that class. I've turned him down every time, because I was hoping he'd get the idea I don't see him as boyfriend material. He sends me emails almost everyday aksing if I want to go out with him and even tells me (all the time!) his parents bug him to get married. However I'm just glad there's only two weeks of the semester left.

I hope to god I don't see this guy next semester, because he really is making me uncomfortable.

^ Kick his ass. XD

Well, if he can't get the hints...the best you can do is "wait it out". Have you tried moving your seat?

As for my bitterness...

- I'm sick. BLAAAAAH.
- School tomorrow [Unless I'm too sick to go...]

I'm back at work tomorrow eventhough I still feel like shit.

I'll no doubt get a bollocking when I get back too. They don't like people being off for a day no matter 5.

Not necessarily bitter, but definitely not happy.

I hit a rabbit a few minutes ago. I was sobbing from then on until I got in the house. I've never hit anything before, I mean, I've seen dead things in the road and seen other people hit things, but I've personally never done it. I didn't think I'd care so much until now. Please tell me this is just a first-time thing, and I won't be sobbing every time I hit something. I hope I'm not just 'some freak who cries over a stupid rabbit'.

Anyone else ever done the same?
