Seems more like an issue with the cookies in your browser as opposed to the board itself.

I assume you're doing it anyway but are you ticking the "remember me" box when you log in?

Can't say I've experienced being logged out whilst making a post or at all for that matter. I've only signed in once since I joined up.

Then that may be the solution.

Possibly.

I'll try it, and post again if it fails. If it works, thanx

Because they are:

a) Poorly written/directed films (coming from a hardcore movie freak, and amateur film maker).

b) Blasphemous adaptations of the source material.

I don't hate the RE films, why would I own them if I hated them? Sure they could have been better but not everyone hates them :P Why do I like them?

Because

a) I don't let other people dictate what is good or bad, no matter what credentials they have.

b) Despite the quality, if I am entertained then it is worth the watch. Low and behold I was entertained, a few times, watching the films.

c) Its a Resident Evil Movie...one should be happy we even got one.

I agree on the writing, which has never been Anderson's strongest area, but I wouldn't say it was poorly directed.

He gets fairly good performances from the actors, creates a film with good pacing and makes the narrative clear. The film looks good in stylistic terms with the exception of the Licker but that's more down to the studio that did the effects.

It's not exceptional or ground breaking directing but it's certainly not bad.

what about that god-awful Nemesis fight? I couldn't see jack. ditto for dog attacks. not to mention unnecessary bullet-time, the ridiculous over-use of the Umbrella logo (every object had at least 1 marking) and all the rest of it.

Anything from Apocalypse has nothing to do with Andersons directorial skills as he didn't direct it. Script and plot wise, Apocalypse was a disaster but, like I said, Anderson isn't a particularly good screen writer.

Not quite sure why you couldn't see what was going on in the dog attacks.

Can you give me some examples? It's been ages since I saw the RE film and off the top of my head I can't remember a bullet time sequence not matter multiple ones.

Doesn't really make him a bad director though, does it? He tried an unsubtle ploy to link it better to the source material but it doesn't really effect the narrative or film in any major way. Annoying to some but if you dislike the film because of that then you really are looking quite hard for a reason to dislike it.

In general I agree with Gray's comments about the first films story. It has tenuous links to the source material and it's not exactly the most unique or ground breaking story in the world. Storywise, it's average at best. But I disagree with Gray's opinion of Anderson as a director, which already eliminates Apocalypse anyway (which is pretty much universally awful for all aspects of filmmaking).
