Project "S"
Ive begun work on an animated Metal Gear project. I am writing and directing the film. My friend Juan is in charge of animation, and his brother Tim is our active producer. The script is in the early stages of completion, but we are ready to begin animating soon. I will be searching for voice actors soon as well. Currently, I am looking for someone to play Snake, as well as additional voice for muhajadin guerillas, and Spetznaz troops.
The story takes place in the late 80s, nearing the end of the Soviet-Afghan War. A Foxhound agent has been taken prisoner by a Russian extremist faction whilst on a top secret mission to aid the Afghan resistance in an effort to secure Persian Gulf oil reserves. The agent is Gray Fox. Immediately, Snake, with the support of Roy Campbell, engages in a mission to rescue Fox. But theres is more to this situation than meets the eye.
Here is a taste of whats in store. Scene one, entitled, Infiltration:

INFILTRATION
April 20th 1988
*THE INDIAN OCEAN - Three minutes to sunrise - Aboard a Royal Navy Submarine - A bold looking man with graying hair and a scruffy beard sits inside a small one man SDV (swimmer delivery vehicle) He’s wearing a skin tight diving suit. An eye patch covers his right eye. He’s donning the Boss’s dark green bandana. He’s puffing on a fine cigar. This is Snake.*
(a voice interrupts from a small transmitter planted inside Snakes tooth)
...Snake... Snake?
SNAKE
I’m awake...(exhales smoke)
CAMPBELL
Time to put your mask on. You comfortable in there?
SNAKE
I feel like a sardine.
*Roy Campbell is shown standing on the bridge. He now carries the rank of Major. He wears a dark green suit, and an army beret. The ID patch on his chest reads : CHICKEN FOX*
CAMPBELL
I guess it wasn’t designed for a man of your stature. That’s a one man SDV. We'll fire it just like a torpedo…
SNAKE
Except it has no propulsion system of its own.
CAMPBELL
Exactly. We’ll launch you into a small stream flowing from the target area. When you’ve gone as far as it will take you, you’ll need to dispose of it.
SNAKE
Dispose of it?
CAMPBELL
We aren’t sure what kind of radar we’re up against. We can’t risk you being spotted. This infiltration has to go off without a hitch, otherwise you won’t stand a chance…Snake…are you sure you want to do this? We could send someone else.
SNAKE
(Puffs cigar and exhales) Frank is like a son to me. I sent him in. He’s my responsibility.
CAMPBELL
I guess you’ve made up your mind. Lets go over the situation one more time. Six days ago, Foxhound agent Gray Fox, infiltrated Afghanistan on a mission to aid the muhajadin guerillas in securing oil reserves near the Persian Gulf. Forty-eight hours ago, we lost contact with Fox. According to his last transmission, the “freedom fighters” were ambushed by members of Spetznaz, being led by a Russian private military group known as “MOTHERSHIP”.
SNAKE
MOTHERSHIP?
CAMPBELL
Yes…An extremist faction devoted to the majesty of Mother Russia. Their agenda is unknown, but they’ve allied themselves with Spetznaz and built an impenetrable fortress, complete with a tapped oil reservoir, a missile silo, and a POW camp. That’s most likely where Fox is being held. Rumor has it, the camp is run by a sadist who prefers harsh methods of interrogation. In other words, we don’t have a second to spare.
SNAKE
Do we ever? (Puffs and exhales)
CAMPBELL
Your target is located roughly ten miles southwest of Minab. Your mission is to infiltrate the enemy fortress, locate Fox, and if necessary, eliminate MOTHERSHIP.
SNAKE
Gotcha. (Puts out cigar and places underneath the waterproof sleeve of diving suit)
CAMPBELL
We’ll be tracking your movements through that transmitter in your tooth. Once you’ve secured Fox, and made it safely outside the fortress, we’ll send in a chopper to pick you up…Okay…You ready, Snake?
SNAKE
Ready and waiting.
CAMPBELL
Launch in 7...6...5...4...
(Snake puts on his mask)
CAMPBELL
3...2...1...Good luck, BIG BOSS.
*The SDV is shown shooting from the torpedoes barrel of the submarine. The name “TRIUMPTH” is seen on the side of the craft. We follow the craft as it zips through the sea, into a narrow straight flowing from the mainland. The SDV begins to decelerate. Snake breaks the hatch and exit’s the craft. Snake swims to the shore and pulls himself out of the water. Past a patch of beach, jungle can be seen just ahead. Snake removes his mask, and his diving suit, to reveal dessert tiger camo. Our perspective changes, and we now see Snake’s front side, with the sun just coming over the horizon behind him.
