Sadly, some news about Uwe Boll's newest videogame-to-movie adaptation (he should be banned from making movies) Postal. This simply states 3 somewhat popular actors who will be playing in it. Also, how does he keep getting these actors who are either already good or have potential to be good, then they play in his movies...tis a mind boggler:

In fairness though, they are shit pictures. One publicity still, one of director and actor talking and Bruce stood on a car. They aren't exactly going to get the blood rushing.

These films have to make money on their own merit though. The German tax loop is gone so his films are under the same scrutiny as everyone else now.

My friends newphiew is an actress in 300 and its said to be a very good historical action movie.

Personally I think its pretty distasteful, looking at the trailers. I really dont think that whats shown in the trailer, is what Sparta and Spartans are all about...

The film isn't supposed to be historically accurate. I think this review (of the comic) should give you an idea what Miller was going for.

If there is a central complaint about 300, it's that for all the hullabaloo about this being a historical comic, and therefore a radical departure from the action/adventure superhero tales that dominate the mainstream: It's not. 300 is a straightforward action comic with some distinct superheroic elements intact. Furthermore, there is little in the way of character development and even less subtlety. It's balls to the wall, full steam ahead. And as such it works magnificently well. But if only Miller had deemed to explore the more interesting aspects of ancient Greek (and Persian) culture? If only he had delved more deeply into the daily life. Certainly there's no paucity of books on the topic. But then for most comics fans, and particularly Miller fans (and perhaps Miller himself), that may sound boring. Get on with it then! Let the skewerings and the beheadings and the bloodletting begin. Hell, that's war! And 300 is a helluva war comic. Which is apparently all that Frank Miller ever wanted it to be.
