Do any of you fine people roleplay?

The Gamers Alliance is a small forum that's been going for years, and we just started up the RP again, so we've been trying to get some new people to join. Fantasy-based (elves, dwarves, pirates, wannabe-Japanese), for the most part, but we do have a section for any other RPs you might want to start. I've been wanting to have a RE-based RP for a long time, but I've never had enough people for it. (Hint hint. ;x)

And while I'm at it...

God Hates Fraggles is a haven for godless heathens sick of the morons that populate most forums. The vast majority of the members are atheists, something I find refreshing. Quite a lot of serious discussion, though we do know how to have fun too.

Couldn't find anything about GOOZEX on here, so I thought I'd create a topic. After all, we are a community based around gaming, and one particular game series in general.

It allows you to trade new games with other users 1:1, to pick up a boat load of older games for trading away a newer game, or to trade away all your old games to save up and get a newer one.

It sure beats the crappy exchange prices you get from EB \ GS, especially since they then turn around and sell that new game for $50, when they gave you a lousy $15 for it....

You can put your games up to trade, and find other traders willing to trade their games back to you. The difference from other communities is that the system finds and matches you with people, you just have to tell it what games you're willing to sell, and what games your willing to buy.

Games are given point values that you earn upon trading away a game, and then you can use these points to buy a game from another user.

It's really a great way of doing it, because you don't need to actually find a guy who wants your game, and make sure he has a game you also want. By using points, you can trade away to one user, then buy a game you want from another.

There's a queue system to make things fair, and overall I'm pretty impressed. New games for new systems have the highest point value, and also games that are hardest to find or have the highest demand from users. So if you traded away COD4 for example, you'd be given enough points to buy MGS4 when it's released and someone decides to want to trade it.

The only thing you have to do to purchase a game with your points is buy "trade tokens" . $1 = 1 trade token = 1 trade buy, thats how they make money. A $1 processing fee for every game you buy in the form of a token allowing you to buy a game. Selling costs you nothing.

You can also find some good deals. I just sold FNR3, and with the points bought Shadow of Colossus and Twisted Metal 2. I'm not sure what FNR3 would have given me if I sold to GS\EB, but TM2 & SoC on ebay would have easily run me $50. I would have lost a ton of money if I sold it to GS, then bought through ebay!

Anyways, check it out if you have some old games to get rid of, you frequently sell to EB\GS, or if you want to start trading new games that just sit there for other new games you'd normally wouldn't buy.

If you sign up they'll also give you 100 free points and a game trade credit to buy a 100 point game, or just save it until you have more points. You'll get it upon your first successful Trade sold with good feedback. For instance, Prince of Persia for PS2 is currently valued at 100 points, so once you sell a game, you'll get the that free 100 points and buy token and can grab that game.

As a disclaimer, I would get a tip if you refer me, but only after you sell or buy a game, so feel free to do so!

I'm thinking of trading away the GCN copy of RE4 for RE4 PS2 because I haven't played Ada's missions yet. Also I'll be looking through the currently playing topic to get ideas for some low point goodies I missed back in the day because I was broke, heh.

Yes, a company for Flash games. Just figured anyone interested may like to play a few games, especially the Thing Thing series. A bloody game series, with a plot, and it isn't some Madness crap like "lol sherif stoled ur pie lololololol." Also, the board there could use a few new faces.
