Hmm hard question. Probably the zombie hands coming through the windows in RE2. I was 12 when I played RE2 and I never played a game like RE... didn't expect those hands coming through the windows at all so it scared the shit out of me. After that I was always afraid to go through that hallway

Another thing that really scared me was when I played RE2 for the first time.. yeah RE2 was my first RE game. My parents weren't at home and it was dark outside. I was playing RE2 with my brother and we heard a strange sound in the living room. So I check it out, but there was nothing there, so we continued playing. After some time we heard the same sound again... and again... it was pretty scary. It turned out to be something really stupid... something hanging in our Christmas tree was slowly moving down a branch. Sounds stupid, but at that time it was pretty scary.

The one time that I can remember being afraid in a Resident Evil game would definatly be the first time I came across Nosferatu.
It was about 3 years ago, I was sitting in the dark at about 3am and was playing Code Veronica. I had finally made it passed the Antartic base. I was all proud and such, until I seen the cutscene with Nosferatu breaking loose.
When the battle actually began I had an odd feeling.
The music in that part of the game gave an incredible feeling of intensity.
I was freaked out until the battle was over. Once he fell to his knees, I realized just how awesome that battle was. Ever since, he was an unforgettable monster to me.

I've got a few more stories about me getting spooked in RE, but I'm running short on time right now, so maybe later I'll come back.

Orginally: Nosferatu
And please, call me Dave -not Richard- when referring to me in the forum. Unfortunatly, I will get confused, lol. Thank you!

Let's not forget our beloved Nemesis. I was on edge the entire time the first time I played RE3. I still remember running away from the Nemesis in the precinct. It was fucking scary he followed you through the whole building for the first time. "Feel the Tense", the music you hear when Nemesis chases you is also perfect.

I remember I thought I finally escaped him and suddenly he stood in front of me and killed me with one hit (I was "danger" after the last fight with him and didn't have any herbs anymore)

I also really freaked out first time I played REmake. I always played RE games on the PC before I played REmake, so the controls were REALLY hard to me the first time. I still remember the room with the "woman drawing water" statue. I walked into the hallway where you'll get your first dagger. I stabbed the zombie, but it was really hard for me to run away and block the hallway with the drawer before the zombie came back for me... I saw the zombie getting closer while I was struggling with the controller to block the hallway where he was coming from in time. The music was also killing me, it sounds really scary

I think what feared me was knowing that one of the enimies was going to just get up and bite me and I would die and have to re-load the game!

I didn't find the final boss any of them that scary, I found the mansion set up allot more errie then the actual zombies or BOW's.

hmm, not really anything scary, but a few things creepy and nearly gave me a heart attack

Lisa trevor from RE:remake. she slow and easy to get away from it, but its the fact that she's invincible to boot. Another moment from Re: Remake, was during a jill walkthrough. I decided to park her on the stairs near the 1st floor save room (not the drug room). I was talking to my cousin who was sitting on the bed, and not really looking at the tv. Suddenly I heard this cry and turned around, and saw this hunter bearing down on me from the top of the screen >.<. Only barely managed to shotgun it before it got to me. Sadly haven't been able to replicate that

Nemesis was always tense, the way he could show up anytime (well what you think during your first playthrough) and chase you down.

Right hand from RE4 was fun as well. More so before he actually appears, trying to impale you at random intervals.
