We tried the general chit chat thing before. Everyone I asked, didn't want one. That new member (I forgot their name now) started up a general chat thread and it was closed, which I knew anyway because it had been disapproved when I'd raised the suggestion before.

By all means, I'd prefer a "chit chat" thread/area than a porn thread. I don't think the level of "leetness" amongst members is really an issue, other than to make new members feel insignificant and not part of this forum, so can we not go there? Everyone you listed apart from Egg is pretty much inactive on the forum, so I don't see the point of mentioning them time and time again in this discussion, lest they decide to return. I fail to see the relevance.

I still say its worth toying with it. Hell, put some people in charge of the area. Their first duty can be to act as a sortof commitee, and decide the best way to go about it. What guidelines to establish. Where to draw the line on content. Etc.

If nothing else the idea could be given a trial period. The elite members of the past are gone. But if the forum grows, would the best of current reHorror not become the elite?

I dont mind if its created, or instead, a chat channel will be made live as long as it reflects the wishes of the majority.

As A_A said, i REALLY dont care about that, simply because i have enough work with the new reH version on my shoulder. Wihin 2008, many things should be possible so its no big deal to me. There's time, but first things come first.

I hate tags and titles of leetness, its retarded. If anything the names listed above are simply people who have been around way too freaking long haha. Although good times were definetly had. I dont even understand what you're trying to get with this request...member segregation? I've been around longer then Eggbert and there's probably only a few people here I'd want to talk to in a seperate forum Even then I'd just rather stalk outside their window anyway...

How about we concentrate on the content and meaning, than "tags" and "titles". I used the word "elite" because thats the only word that came up my mind.

No, Im not talking about superhumans, Im talking about the cream of the crop, by being rolemodels for newly arrived members. By posting interesting content which positively enriched the forums and forum experience.

Perhaps you gents need a third perspective on the matter, but when I first arrived this spot, I saw a number of such people, and it isnt a negative thing. Its positive.

Segregation in moderation is great, except that we dont have enough members with such quality nor interest to pull it off successfully.
