Default reH v20

3 people get the chance to see the new reH Beta these days. Its hard to track bugs therefore i need a few people to run through the new site looking for spelling mistakes, color issues or other things that just dont fit or work.

I am specifically speaking to some vets here as i dont want to show the site to reH newbies just yet. Awaiting your PM's guys and girls.

3 people only. NDA for the site's adress.

It's looking good, I will look around it to make sure things are running fine.

its online now anyway, couldnt wait longer. Most things should be sorted, dont expect much new content. many has been re-written by Alexia, but new things will be added over time. Same goes for more user options. I am using the latest version of a software for the new site and plugins/modules are hard to find at the moment still.

Hope you enjoy some of the new features, there's many things i will test arround with the next weeks and surely looking for more features to install.

In the future, I'll be adding cheats sections for each game, and writing a walkthrough for each. The cheats will be up soon, as for the walkthroughs, that'll be later on in the year as a lot, I'll have to write myself. I'm still working through the content that's up, and re-writing it.

I hope you all likey.

I really liked the preivous version... I feel this one is empty, just like another blog out there. Here hoping it get's a fuller design!

If you need any info, pics, videos, audio, etc you can count on me, DaMa

Sure this one looks more simple, but it also gives us the oppurtunity to add tons of stuff in the future very easiely. Why should we always focus on just image-heavy static layouts going backwards in time? The times have changed. Over time, you all will learn to love the site once new features for users arrive.

Be sure to use the voting function for each page, so we can determine which sections need improvements.

I agree with Rod that it seems a bit more simplistic than previous versions but a websites first priority should be functionality and navigation so a simplified design makes sense.

I think you should change the colour of the hyperlinks on the left as the blue colour clashes a bit with the background so I have to hover over it and make it white to make out what the links say.

Will scan for errors and stuff when I have more time but you've got my age wrong (I'm 24 not 26) and you should probably update it with my new name.

Also get Degaus to make me, Manj and ELF an image for our profiles

How exactly do you vote? I thought you;d just hover over the images and give it a rating of 1-5 but nothing happens when I hover over or click the little flame images.

All the problems you pointed out i am aware of. I think you mean the color of the hyperlinks when they are active they turn black, however i am unable to edit that line. i think i may have made a mistake in the stylesheet this damned active link is defined somewhere else. I am still on the looks.

Yeah, i didnt know about ages just guessed, changed now.

I told degaus.. i think at least a year ago the first time to create these images. He always forgets it.

This voting thing i just installed a few mins ago, lol. It worked fine for me without flames because it doesnt seem to work with firefox, but Jake was able to vote. I have to hear other voices to ifnd out whats the problem i guess.

Btw, register and i can set you to an editor so you could write and edit any sites content if you want?

DaMa, place this in your css file to change the active link colors.
Code:
.node A.active {
	color:#color !important;
}
The actual css is hard coded into the system style css and seems to be unable to be overridden regularly (I assume due to php logic some place) so just force override it with this.

You should also turn on "clean urls" since the default node urls are simply ugly. You might also try installing Path Auto to make things look even nicer and help automate the flow of content generation. If you have any other questions about setting up a Drupal site don't be afraid to ask.

I also agree that your old site layout was quite superior. There really is no good reason to sacrifice aesthetics with Drupal, you can convert your html layout over quite easily with some theme overrides, although you might have to cut down on the tables substantially. Just remember use float a lot . I would also suggest moving your image gallery over to Drupal with Gallery or Image which both have a D6 dev build.

Edit: Oh and I should mention that you can change the tab site image from the Drupal icon in the Site Configuration option. It would be a good idea to do that .

I'm sorry if this is a stupid question, but it appears everyone can login on the new ReHorror. Do we have to create a new account or is it possible to use the forum username and password?
